How to use it

What you need to know
This is not an absolute optimum pressure, a compatibility check or a safety guarantee. Your actual choice also depends on the specific tyre and casing, internal rim width, temperature, grip, technical ability and exact weight distribution. Never exceed the rim or tyre manufacturer’s pressure limits. For hookless systems, check the limit for the specific rim–tyre combination.

Methodology & Sources
The calculator estimates breakpoint pressure from total weight, actual tyre width and diameter, surface, expected speed, casing category and estimated front–rear weight distribution. The model follows the publicly available logic and input categories of the SILCA Pro Tire Pressure Calculator and has been checked against selected reference cases. It is not an official SILCA tool, independent laboratory validation or a rim–tyre compatibility check. Pressures are calculated without intermediate rounding and displayed to the nearest 0.5 PSI and 0.05 bar.
