Cookie Policy

This Policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies are, which ones svarnascoaching.com uses, when third-party providers load, and how you can control or withdraw your analytics choice.
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar technologies that allow the site to remember preferences or temporary state without creating an identifiable profile on their own.
2. Necessary technologies
We use a saved cookie preference to remember your analytics choice. This preference is stored in your browser's local storage under the key svarnas_cookie_consent, includes the policy version, decision date and expiry date, and is retained for approximately 6 months.
The light/dark setting is stored locally as a display preference. Some THE LAB lists (calculators, articles, podcast) may use session storage to restore your scroll position when you return from an internal page. This value does not identify the visitor and is deleted when the tab or browser closes.
Rejecting analytics cookies does not disable site functionality, security or basic navigation.
3. Analytics cookies (opt-in only)
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) only if you explicitly accept analytics cookies through the banner or Cookie settings. Until then, no Google Analytics script loads, GA4 is not initialised and no traffic measurements are sent.

- Purpose: anonymous traffic statistics, content improvement and understanding how pages are used.

_gaand_ga_*(a name that depends on the property).
If you reject or withdraw your choice, new analytics requests stop and we attempt to delete the first-party GA cookies controlled by the site. We do not currently use Meta Pixel, advertising cookies or Stripe tracking on the site.

Training Plans at plans.svarnascoaching.com uses the same GA4 property, with a separate consent choice and cookie settings within the application. Your choice on the main site does not automatically enable analytics in Training Plans. Rejecting or withdrawing consent within the application stops its subsequent analytics requests. With consent, limited public navigation, tool and guide interactions are measured, as well as confirmed plan acquisition events. Emails, sign-in links or tokens, personal measurements and workout values are not sent to GA4.
4. How to control or withdraw your choice
On your first visit, a banner appears with Accept, Reject and Settings. Analytics are disabled by default. Closing the banner without choosing does not enable analytics.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. If the cookie policy changes, you may be asked to make a new choice.
5. Newsletter, reCAPTCHA and EmailOctopus
Wherever a newsletter form appears, the official EmailOctopus JavaScript embed loads. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam. These tools may set cookies or process technical data (e.g. IP address, browser) under the providers' policies, independently of analytics consent.
6. Calendly
Call booking opens in a Calendly pop-up after you complete the optional questions; if the embed does not load, it opens in a new tab. The site transfers only the choices you enter before booking. Calendly may set its own cookies only when its service loads.
7. YouTube, Spotify and external content
On episode pages, the embedded YouTube player in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) loads with the page, without autoplay and independently of your analytics choice. Google/YouTube may receive technical data and use cookies or similar technologies under its policies. youtube-nocookie limits certain personalisation uses, but does not prevent third-party requests, cookies or other processing. Rejecting analytics prevents GA4, not the YouTube player from loading. Other YouTube videos may load differently. External Spotify links open on the Spotify platform; we do not embed a Spotify player on the site.
8. International transfers
Some providers (Google, EmailOctopus, Calendly, YouTube) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on lawful instruments such as adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, depending on the provider and service.
9. Changes
The list of cookies and providers may be updated when services are added or removed. The Last updated date at the top of this page indicates the most recent substantive change.
